the new Deaths LP 'Centralia' will be released April 22nd along with a release show Saturday April 26th at the Turf Club. the Deaths will also be performing live on the 89.3 the Current Sunday April 20th at 5pm.

A new Deaths release is on the horizon, not the long awaited 2nd LP (that should be out sometime this fall) but a brand new 7". This is a split 7" with the Beatifics and features a new Deaths song called 'Separations'. Limited to a 400 copy run it is available through Miniature Record Club. Also the Deaths will be playing their first all-ages show in quite a while at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis with the Manchester Orchestra and the Colour Revolt. This is an early show, doors open at 6 with the Deaths playing at 6:30.

The Deaths 2nd LP is complete. Shows this summer in the Minneapolis area at the Turf Club, Plaster the Town 3 opening at the Soap Factory, and the Square Lake Music and Film Festival.

Choir Invisible, our first LP, is getting its national release on 7.25.06 through Essay Records. The LP has been remastered and repackaged as a digipack along with 6 bonus tracks from The Deaths archieves.

The Deaths are playing the 5th annual Solstice Festival in Stillwater, MN Saturday June 17th along with Low and Duplomacy (among others). Next weekend The Deaths begin work on their second record.

The Austin Chronicle lists The Deaths as one of the sleeper bands of SXSW 2006. We are playing a show at The Turf Club April 29th with the Essex Green and then recording the new record in May. The national release of Choir Invisible is also on the way this summer (re-mastered with 6 bonus tracks) on Essay Records. More details coming soon...
